Overview

What Bullet actually does.

Bullet, formerly known as Zeta Markets, is Solana's first real-time Layer 2 network extension built specifically for trading. Its headline claim is performance: 2ms execution latency, which it states is 200x faster than standard Solana DEXs, targeting the kind of speed that serious perpetuals and high-frequency traders demand. Under the hood, Bullet uses native Rust execution and a FIFO (first-in, first-out) order matching engine, with Celestia providing data availability. This architecture is designed to deliver a centralized-exchange-like trading experience while retaining on-chain settlement guarantees, rather than forcing traders to choose between speed and decentralization. The platform brings spot trading, perpetual futures, and multi-collateral margin together in a single venue.
