Overview

What Cloak actually does.

Cloak is private financial infrastructure on Solana that enables confidential transfers of USDC, USDT, and SOL. It brings genuine financial privacy on-chain — hiding amounts and counterparties — while keeping settlement verifiable, addressing the reality that a fully public ledger exposes salaries, treasury moves, and trading activity to anyone watching. It works through a zero-knowledge UTXO shielded pool: users deposit into the pool and then transfer privately, with ZK proofs guaranteeing each transaction is valid without revealing its details. Crucially, this happens without leaving Solana and without handing funds to a custodian — privacy and self-custody at once. Cloak placed 3rd at the Solana Cypherpunk Hackathon in December 2025 and is live on mainnet with real shielded transactions, not just a testnet demo. For privacy-conscious individuals, DAOs, and treasuries that don't want their entire payment history public by default, Cloak provides confidential, non-custodial transfers on Solana. As with any privacy protocol, its real-world anonymity depends on the size and activity of its shielded pool — the more it's used, the stronger the guarantee.
