Overview

What GMTrade actually does.

GMTrade (formerly GMXSOL) is one of Solana's largest perpetual DEXs, with $200M+ in daily volume. It lets traders take leveraged positions on crypto, stocks, commodities, and forex with up to 100x leverage, bringing a broad set of perpetual markets to a single on-chain venue on Solana. A distinctive element is its Trade-to-Mint model, in which trading activity earns GT tokens — aligning platform usage with token rewards. GMTrade is built under GMX DAO authorization, porting the proven GMX perpetuals model onto Solana's high-speed, low-fee infrastructure. The platform targets active derivatives traders who want diversified perpetual exposure — not just crypto, but also traditional markets like equities, commodities, and forex — combined with the self-custody and composability of on-chain trading on Solana. Leverage of up to 100x is inherently high-risk: positions can be liquidated rapidly, and perpetual trading is best suited to experienced users who understand funding rates and liquidation mechanics. Synthetic exposure to stocks, commodities, and forex also relies on the protocol's pricing and liquidity design, and incentive models tied to a native token carry their own market risks.
