Overview

What NestUSD actually does.

NestUSD is a Solana-based collateralized debt position (CDP) protocol that lets holders of tokenized US equities mint nUSD, a stablecoin pegged to $1.00, without selling their stocks. Users deposit approved xStocks tokens (issued by Backed Finance and distributed via Kraken) or USDC into a vault and borrow nUSD against them at a per-asset loan-to-value ratio, paying a 3% APR stability fee. The protocol launched with seven collateral assets in descending LTV order: SPYx (75%), QQQx (72%), AAPLx and MSFTx (70%), GOOGLx (68%), NVDAx (65%), and TSLAx (60%). Collateral stays verifiable on-chain rather than relying on monthly attestations, and positions are subject to liquidation rules. Stability fees and reserve yield flow to users who stake nUSD into snUSD, targeting roughly 6% APY. NestUSD uses Pyth price feeds and Kamino infrastructure, ships a NEST governance token, launched on Solana on June 14, 2026, and was officially endorsed by xStocks as the first DeFi borrowing protocol for tokenized equities.
