Overview

What POKT Network actually does.

POKT Network (Pocket Network) is a decentralized RPC network that routes blockchain data requests across thousands of independent nodes, giving applications censorship-resistant access to chain data including Solana. The hook: distributed RPC instead of a single centralized provider. Requests are served by a network of independent node operators, with load balanced across participating gateways. The POKT token coordinates the system, with participants staking to act as applications, suppliers, or gateway operators, and the network exposes public APIs that can be used without an API key. POKT supports Solana as one of many chains and has served on the order of a trillion relays. It fits teams that want decentralized, redundant RPC access and chains that want to sponsor public endpoints. Caveats: POKT is a multi-chain network where Solana is one of 60+ supported chains rather than the focus; a decentralized supplier set can mean variable node performance, and getting reliable throughput typically means going through a gateway.
