Overview

What Pools.trade actually does.

Pools.trade is a memecoin launchpad built by Uniswap Labs specifically for Robinhood Chain, Robinhood's Arbitrum-based Layer 2 (chain ID 4663). It went live on August 5, 2026, giving anyone a way to create, discover, and trade tokens without leaving the Uniswap ecosystem. Every token launched through Pools becomes its own Uniswap v4 liquidity pool from the first transaction, with a fixed one-billion-token supply. The platform offers two launch modes. Crowd Launch runs a four-hour bidding window where participants commit budgets that fill according to a time-weighted average price, and the token only becomes freely tradable once it clears a $10,000 fully diluted valuation threshold. Instant Launch skips that step and opens trading immediately on a bonding-curve model with no minimum graduation requirement. In both cases the resulting liquidity position is held in a protocol-controlled pool that the creator cannot withdraw, and Pools charges no separate launchpad fee, only a 0.25 percent LP fee that autocompounds into the locked pool and is split between creators and liquidity growth. This is aimed at traders and token creators already using Robinhood Chain's memecoin scene who want their launch anchored to Uniswap's own infrastructure rather than a smaller, unaudited launchpad. Uniswap Labs is explicit that tokens on the platform are not reviewed or endorsed and that value is driven purely by market demand, so the standard memecoin risk profile still applies. The launch was not without friction inside the Robinhood Chain ecosystem: Uniswap had publicly featured competing launchpads like Pons as partners building on its infrastructure only days before releasing a directly competing product, which some builders and traders read as Uniswap undercutting the ecosystem it was courting. Pools nonetheless captured roughly half of day-one launch volume on the chain.

Cons

  • Uniswap Labs explicitly does not review or endorse listed tokens, so standard memecoin/rug risk still applies to what launches there
  • Very new platform (launched August 2026) with an unproven long-term track record
  • Its launch drew criticism from Robinhood Chain ecosystem partners who felt undercut, which is a reputational risk worth knowing about
  • Robinhood Chain itself is a young network, so liquidity and secondary trading depth vary a lot by token
