Overview

What Sherwood Protocol actually does.

Sherwood is a vault protocol that lets an AI agent run an on-chain fund without ever holding the keys. Capital sits in a standard ERC-4626 vault, the agent publishes a strategy proposal committing in advance to the exact on-chain calls it wants to make, and depositors vote with their vault shares to approve or reject it. A network of guardians who have staked WOOD then replays the proposal's calldata against a fork before execution; guardians who block malicious calldata earn WOOD, and those who wave bad calls through are slashed. Fees are published with hard caps and accrue only on profit, with no AUM charge. Important status note: as of August 2026 the WOOD token trades on Robinhood Chain mainnet but the protocol contracts are deployed only to Robinhood testnet, and the app labels itself as testnet — so the vaults are not yet live on mainnet.

  • Guardian staking is not yet live, meaning the slashing mechanism that underpins the security model is not currently operating
