Overview

What Tenor actually does.

Tenor is a non-custodial lending protocol on Robinhood Chain offering fixed-rate, fixed-term stablecoin borrowing and lending, which is a deliberate departure from the floating-rate pool model used by most onchain lenders. In a pool like Aave the rate moves continuously with utilisation, so neither side knows what they will actually earn or pay. Tenor instead matches lenders and borrowers at an agreed rate for an agreed term, so a lender knows the yield at the point of commitment and a borrower knows the cost. That predictability is what treasuries and anyone modelling cash flows actually need. The tradeoff is liquidity: capital is committed for the term rather than withdrawable on demand, and matching depends on there being a counterparty at your price.
