Overview

What The Index actually does.

The Index runs on a simple mechanic: every trade of its INDEX token collects a 3 percent fee in ETH, and that ETH is used to buy a fixed basket of 18 tokenized stocks trading on Robinhood Chain. Those stock tokens are then sent directly to INDEX holders' wallets automatically, on-chain, every 15 minutes, with no staking or manual claim step required. The result is that trading volume itself becomes the funding source for real distributions of tokenized equity, rather than the fee simply accruing to a treasury or being burned. Since launch the protocol has processed more than 26.5 million dollars in volume, distributed roughly 902 thousand dollars in tokenized stocks, and paid out to more than 43,000 wallets. The model depends entirely on Robinhood Chain's tokenized-stock infrastructure existing on the same venues INDEX trades on, since the buy-and-distribute loop routes through those markets every 15 minutes regardless of price. It is one of the more direct examples of Robinhood Chain's core pitch, tokenized equities and crypto trading sharing the same rails, turned into a standing product mechanic rather than a one-off feature.
