Overview

What TokenSniffer actually does.

TokenSniffer is an automated token-safety scanner that audits smart contracts and flags scam indicators across many blockchains, including Solana and 15+ other networks. You enter a token's address and it runs an automated 'smell test', returning a risk score and report that highlights red flags such as honeypots, low or unlocked liquidity, suspicious ownership or mint controls, and sudden ownership changes — helping traders gauge rug-pull risk before they buy. It covers EVM chains and Solana, and also offers an API so developers and dApps can integrate its scam-detection checks. The public web interface is free to use with no account required (gated only by a CAPTCHA), allowing unlimited scans. As with any automated scanner, a clean score reduces but does not guarantee safety — it should be one input alongside your own due diligence, especially for brand-new tokens where on-chain history is thin.
