Overview

What Virtuals Protocol actually does.

Virtuals Protocol is a launchpad for tokenized AI agents, letting users create, tokenize, deploy, and co-own AI agents with on-chain ownership and revenue sharing. Originally launched on Base, it expanded to Solana to reach a broader user base. The model turns AI agents into ownable, tradeable assets: agents have their own tokens, and contributors can share in the value an agent generates. This created one of the larger on-chain AI-agent ecosystems, with a marketplace of agents spanning entertainment, trading, and utility. It targets creators and speculators in the AI-agent space who want to launch or invest in tokenized agents, with Solana as a newer deployment chain alongside its original Base ecosystem.
