just read the @Microsoft Q1 2026 ai diffusion report tl;dr - 17.8% of people globally are using ai now, 26 countries crossed the 30% mark - asia's going crazy, 12 of the top 15 fastest growing countries are there - ai coding tools are printing code, github pushes jumped 78% to 380m - contrary to the doomer takes, ai isn't replacing devs, us software jobs hit record high at 2.2m - rich poor gap is getting worse, ai adoption gap between global north and south widened to 12.1% looks like ai's officially a productivity tool now, but not everyone's benefiting equally 🤔
