Overview

What Aleph Cloud actually does.

Aleph Cloud (formerly aleph.im) is a decentralized cloud computing and storage network that lets developers run compute, store data, and host backends across a distributed network of nodes instead of relying on a single centralized provider. It offers off-chain compute including confidential virtual machines, distributed storage, a decentralized database, and indexing and DID frameworks, all reachable from on-chain apps. Aleph integrates with Solana — providing Python and JavaScript client libraries so any Solana dApp can decentralize its backend stack — and supports 20+ chains in total. Its native ALEPH token is used to pay for storage and compute and is staked by node operators to run network nodes. It targets dApp developers, Web3 teams, and increasingly AI-agent builders who want scalable, censorship-resistant compute and storage without trusting a centralized cloud.
