Overview

What CatScope actually does.

CatScope is Solana infrastructure that runs searcher logic directly at the validator layer, giving bots sub-2ms first visibility into transactions — far ahead of what's possible when polling from outside the validator. By moving execution inside the validator path, it attacks the single biggest disadvantage independent searchers face: latency. The platform combines three pieces. A WASM bot runtime lets strategies execute in a sandboxed environment inside the validator. A decoded account and state stream removes the parsing overhead searchers normally pay to interpret raw account data. And a priority transaction lane gives time-sensitive transactions a faster path — together forming a validator-side MEV marketplace. CatScope emerged from the infrastructure track of the Solana Cypherpunk Hackathon and is currently in closed beta. Its latency model is novel precisely because it integrates MEV execution into the validator rather than racing it from the edge. For MEV searchers and latency-critical infrastructure teams on Solana, CatScope offers a fundamentally faster vantage point than conventional off-validator tooling — at the cost of the trust and access considerations that come with running inside the validator.
