Overview

What GoldRush actually does.

GoldRush is the developer-facing blockchain data API from Covalent, providing unified multichain access to wallet balances, transaction history, token pricing, and DEX activity. It lets builders query on-chain data across many networks without running their own nodes or indexers. Data is exposed through a consistent schema via REST API, a JavaScript/TypeScript SDK, a CLI, and a WebSocket streaming API for real-time events like new DEX pairs and trades. It also offers an x402 pay-per-request path for AI agents and custom pipelines into ClickHouse, Postgres, Kafka, or S3. Coverage spans 50+ networks, with decoded event logs, OHLCV pricing, and portfolio endpoints. It targets developers, trading tools, analytics platforms, and AI agents needing cross-chain data. Honest caveat: the platform is EVM-first and multi-chain, so Solana is one of dozens of supported chains rather than a focus. GoldRush markets full Solana indexing from genesis, but its own chains page notes complete transaction histories may not cover Solana the same way as EVM chains, so verify depth for your use case.

Tokenized gold transfer volume spent most of the summer around $1B a week. Then, in late September, activity picked up sharply. Weekly holder-to-holder transfers climbed to roughly $3.4B in the week of September 28, the biggest spike visible on the chart. By early October, volume had started to cool again. The interesting part isn't just the peak. It's how quickly transfer activity accelerated after weeks of relatively lower volumes.
