What Kormos actually does.

Kormos offers high-yield vaults on Solana that deliberately avoid leverage, aiming for returns that don't carry the liquidation risk of leveraged farming strategies. The goal is sustainable, repeatable yield rather than amplified, fragile returns. The vaults are built on a fractional-reserve primitive that splits deposits into a liquid reserve tranche and a locked, yield-generating tranche. This structure lets the protocol offer instant liquidity to most users while putting the bulk of capital to work for higher returns — the same balance traditional banks strike, expressed on-chain. Kormos placed 2nd in the DeFi track of the Solana Cypherpunk Hackathon and joined Colosseum Cohort 4, progressing from devnet to mainnet over the program. The founding team includes ex-Morgan Stanley background. For Solana DeFi users seeking yield without leverage and the constant threat of liquidation, Kormos packages a novel liquidity model into a set of straightforward vaults.
