Sallar

An important moment is approaching as Sallar prepares to exit beta and enter the next stage. As part of this process, we will temporarily suspend the Sallar Network in 24 hours and begin migrating our services, backend systems, and databases from external cloud providers to infrastructure operating on the Sallar Network. The migration is expected to take approximately two weeks. Once completed, the Sallar Network and nearly 95% of our services will operate on our own infrastructure instead of relying on external server providers. It is rare for a project to operate its network, services, backend systems, and databases on infrastructure powered by its own network. Using external cloud platforms is standard practice in the IT industry, but it also creates dependence on their policies, pricing, and availability. Sallar has followed an independence first approach from the beginning. We are a project built without venture capital shaping our direction, and this migration extends that principle to the technological foundation of the project. This migration is one of the biggest technical milestones in Sallar’s development and an important part of ending the beta period. All core services have also been rewritten in Rust, making Rust the foundation of Sallar’s backend infrastructure. This brings us closer to the vision we have pursued from the start. We have not wasted the time spent building Sallar. We have been creating the systems and foundations that prepared us for what comes next. The period ahead will be intensive and full of new developments. After exiting beta, we will have much more to reveal.
