What Streamex actually does.

Streamex is a Solana platform built around GLDY, a yield-bearing token that tracks the spot price of gold while paying holders yield in additional gold. It brings a familiar safe-haven asset on-chain in a form that compounds, so holders gain both price exposure to gold and an ongoing gold-denominated return. The core idea is to combine the stability of a gold-pegged asset with the productivity of DeFi. Where simply holding tokenized gold is static, GLDY is designed to grow a holder's gold balance over time, with the yield itself denominated in gold rather than a separate reward token. GLDY trades on Solana with liquidity available through Orca, letting users buy, hold, and exit on-chain around the clock. Streamex is aimed at investors who want gold exposure without leaving the Solana ecosystem, as well as DeFi users seeking a yield-bearing real-world asset to diversify away from purely crypto-native risk. Settling on Solana gives it fast, low-fee transactions suited to an asset people may move in and out of frequently. The honest caveats: GLDY is a real-world-asset product, so its value depends on the issuer's backing, custody, and regulatory standing rather than on-chain collateral alone. Advertised yield is not guaranteed and can change, and the price still moves with gold, which carries its own market risk. As a newer 2026 launch, on-chain liquidity may be thinner than for established assets.
