Overview

What Seer actually does.

Seer is a transaction debugging tool for Solana that gives developers full source-code-level tracing of program execution. It is the Solana equivalent of what Tenderly offers for EVM, turning a standard RPC test run into detailed execution analysis instead of a pass or fail. It works as a drop-in replacement for solana-test-validator or a mainnet RPC: point your test framework at Seer's endpoint and run transactions as usual, with no special setup and Anchor support. Seer captures the run across multiple lenses: a full call-stack trace of instructions, CPIs, logs, and errors, line-level tracing mapped to source, variable snapshots, and runtime account changes per step. It runs on devnet, testnet, and mainnet. The standout is EVM-grade transaction visibility on a chain where debugging meant parsing raw logs. Seer is for Solana program developers who need to know why a transaction behaved as it did beyond what explorers show. The honest caveat: it is specialized tooling, tracing depends on source mapping, and it adds an endpoint.
