Tangem is a card-based hardware wallet that stores private keys on a certified secure-element chip embedded in an NFC smart card, with native Solana (SOL) support. It is a multi-chain cold wallet covering Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and thousands of other assets across more than 80 blockchain networks. The card holds the keys on an EAL6+ secure element, and the private key is generated on-chip and never leaves the card. To check balances or sign a transaction, the user taps the card to a phone running the Tangem app over NFC; signing happens on the card while the app handles the interface. Setup takes minutes and requires no registration or KYC, and by default there is no written seed phrase to manage. Tangem sells one-time hardware. A 2-card set is around $54.90 and a 3-card set around $69.90 (extra cards act as backups of the same wallet), with a Tangem Ring and Pro Kit also offered. There are no recurring fees.
