Zodial is a lending protocol on Solana that positions itself as DeFi's first direct portfolio-margin lending venue, unifying a user's holdings into a single cross-margin account rather than isolating each position. Instead of borrowing against one collateral type at a time, a user's combined assets — spanning crypto, tokenized equities, real-world assets (RWAs), and stablecoins — back their borrowing power as one portfolio, which can improve capital efficiency and reduce the chance of isolated liquidations when a single asset moves. The protocol layers social features on top of the core lending engine, including copy-trading of other users' strategies and a referral program to drive growth. Zodial entered open beta in 2026 and was added to DefiLlama as a Solana lending protocol, giving it public TVL and activity tracking. The cross-margin design is powerful but inherently higher-risk than isolated lending: because all assets share one margin account, a sharp drawdown in one holding can put the entire portfolio at risk, and pricing tokenized stocks and RWAs as collateral introduces oracle and settlement dependencies beyond those of a pure crypto money market.
