Overview

What Kyros actually does.

Kyros is a Solana liquid staking protocol designed to optimize staking yields by distributing SOL across top-performing validators. Rather than picking a single validator, it spreads stake to pursue stronger, more resilient returns while contributing to validator decentralization on the network. When you stake through Kyros, you receive kySOL tokens representing your staked position. Because kySOL is liquid, you keep exposure to staking rewards while gaining a token you can move and use, instead of having your SOL locked and idle during the staking period. The core appeal is composability: kySOL can be deployed across DeFi protocols for additional yield while continuing to earn base staking rewards. This lets users stack a base staking return with DeFi strategies, a pattern that is central to how liquid staking tokens create capital efficiency on Solana. The caveats are standard for liquid staking: kySOL introduces smart-contract risk and depends on the protocol's validator selection performing as intended, and deploying it further into DeFi compounds those risks with the risks of each additional protocol. Liquid staking tokens can also trade at a discount to their underlying SOL during stressed markets, so users should weigh liquidity and depeg considerations alongside the yield.
