This gives you a simple 0–100 score for any token's early buyer quality in a single async call. Wire it into your scanner and you have an automated smart money filter.

What Patterns to Watch For

After running this analysis across dozens of tokens, a few patterns become clear:

The coordinated smart money entry — Multiple wallets with strong histories all buy within the same 10-second window, none of them bundled together, no bot signals. This is the best signal. It means multiple independent sharp traders saw the same opportunity.

The KOL setup — One or two is_kol wallets appear in the first buyers, with others having thin trade histories. This often means the token is being prepped for a call. Useful to know, but the upside depends entirely on whether the call lands.

The bot farm — Every early buyer has bot_confidence: high and sub-second entry times. All bundle-flagged. These are automated snipers, not smart money. The token may still trade well if the underlying narrative is strong, but the cap table itself isn't giving you a signal.

The mixed bag — A few solid wallets, a few bots, a couple of fresh addresses. This is the most common case. Focus on whether the high-quality wallets have significant position sizes relative to their typical allocation. A smart wallet dropping 3 SOL instead of their usual 0.5 SOL is signal.

Combining With Deployer Analysis

Cap table analysis is most powerful when layered with deployer intelligence. If you've already filtered to tokens launched by proven deployers (using the Deployer Hunter or the pump.fun deployer tracker methodology), the cap table is your second confirmation layer.

A token from an Elite-tier deployer with a strong early buyer cohort clears two independent filters. The deployer has shown they can build momentum; the early buyers have shown they can identify it. That overlap is rare and valuable.
