Feature guide
Parses your DeFi positions: LP tokens, lending deposits, staked assets, and yield farming rewards. Without this, you're only seeing half your portfolio.
Accurate cost-basis tracking across buys, sells, swaps, and DeFi interactions. Some trackers miss airdrops, LP rewards, or cross-chain bridges.
Generate tax reports compatible with your country's requirements. CoinTracking and Koinly specialize in this.
Connect multiple Solana wallets (and other chains) to see your total holdings in one dashboard.
CoinStats, Asset Dash, DeBank, Zerion, and CoinTracking have native mobile apps. Step Finance and Sonar Watch are web-only.
Most trackers are free for basic portfolio viewing. Tax export, advanced analytics, and higher API limits are typically behind paywalls.
How it works
You give a tracker a public wallet address — never a private key — and it turns that address into a net-worth figure through four steps. It only reads public on-chain data, so adding a wallet can't move your funds.
Step 1 — Read
The tracker reads your wallet's SPL token accounts via RPC or an indexer, then resolves your DeFi positions — LP tokens, lending deposits, staked SOL, farm rewards — by decoding the relevant protocol accounts. This is where Solana-native trackers pull ahead: they recognize newer Solana protocols that generic multi-chain tools miss.
Step 2 — Price
Each holding is priced against current market data — usually from DEX pools and aggregated price feeds — and summed into a single net-worth figure. Positions inside protocols are valued at their underlying assets, not just the wrapper token, so an LP or vault shows its real worth.
Step 3 — Compute
The tracker walks your transaction history to assign a cost basis to each position. Current value minus cost basis is your unrealized PnL; closed positions give realized PnL. Coverage matters — airdrops, LP rewards, and bridge transfers are the events trackers most often miss.
Step 4 — Aggregate & export
Add multiple wallet addresses (and other chains, if multi-chain) and the tracker rolls them into one dashboard. From the same history it can produce a tax export — a country-formatted report or CSV of classified trades, transfers, and rewards for your accountant.
Guide
Your portfolio tracker should show your real net worth — not just token balances. DeFi positions, accurate PnL, and tax compliance separate good trackers from basic ones.
DeFi tracking
The best trackers parse your DeFi positions: LP tokens, lending deposits, staked assets, and yield farming rewards. Without this, you're only seeing half your portfolio.
PnL accuracy
Accurate cost-basis tracking across buys, sells, swaps, and DeFi interactions. Some trackers miss airdrops, LP rewards, or cross-chain bridges in their calculations.
Tax export
Generate tax reports compatible with your country's requirements. CoinTracking and Koinly specialize in this — essential if you're trading actively.
Multi-wallet
Connect multiple Solana wallets (and other chains) to see your total holdings in one dashboard. Every tracker here supports this.
Mobile access
CoinStats, Asset Dash, DeBank, Zerion, and CoinTracking have native mobile apps. Step Finance and Sonar Watch are web-only.
Free tiers
Most trackers are free for basic portfolio viewing. Tax export, advanced analytics, and higher API limits are typically behind paywalls. Koinly is free to track but charges for tax reports.
Recommendations
Best for Solana DeFi
Both are Solana-native with deep DeFi protocol parsing. Step Finance has a cleaner dashboard; Sonar Watch covers more protocols. Read our portfolio tracker guide.
Best all-in-one
Exchange sync, DeFi tracking, PnL, tax export, and a mobile app — CoinStats covers everything in one place.
Best for crypto taxes
CoinTracking handles 100+ exchange imports with professional-grade tax reports. Koinly supports 50+ countries. Read our crypto tax guide.
