Wormhole vs deBridge, Mayan, Allbridge, Jumper, Across, Squid and Chainflip — the bridges that move value to and from Solana, compared on what matters: how they work, what they cost, how fast they settle, whether you get the native asset, and what secures them. Researched and cross-verified.

The most broadly integrated Solana bridge; Portal locks assets and mints wrapped versions. Secured by a 13-of-19 Guardian network. Its 2022 Solana exploit (~$320M) was fully reimbursed by Jump Crypto.
Zero-TVL intent network — solvers deliver native assets directly, with no wrapped tokens or liquidity pools to exploit. A fast, popular route to and from Solana.
Cross-chain swap auctions (Swift / MCTP routes) settled on Solana and secured via Wormhole messaging; a competitive solver auction picks best execution.
Two products: Core (native stablecoin pools, no wrapping) and Classic (lock-and-mint for long-tail assets). One of Solana's oldest bridges, live since 2021.
Consumer front-end for the LI.FI router — compares 20+ bridges and 30+ DEXs to find the cheapest path to or from Solana, so you don't have to pick a bridge yourself.
A fastest-class intent bridge: permissionless relayers front funds instantly and settle later via UMA's optimistic oracle. Solana support launched Aug 2025 (USDC-first).
Multi-rail router incubated by Axelar. It reaches Solana and Bitcoin through Chainflip (not Axelar GMP), and EVM/Cosmos chains through Axelar.
How to read this
How the bridge moves value. Lock-and-mint (Wormhole Portal) locks your asset and mints a wrapped version. Intent-based bridges (deBridge, Across, Mayan) have a solver deliver the native asset and settle later. Aggregators (Jumper, Squid) route across several of these.
Whether you receive the real token on the destination chain (no wrapper). Only Wormhole Portal here is lock-and-mint; the rest deliver native SOL/SPL assets.
Intent bridges are usually fastest and cheapest for Solana (Across ~1–2s, deBridge ~0.04% + gas). Aggregators add no fee of their own and surface the best route. Figures move — always check a live quote.
Each bridge trusts something different: Wormhole's 13-of-19 Guardians, Across's UMA optimistic oracle, Chainflip's 150-validator vaults, Axelar's PoS validators. Intent / 0-TVL designs avoid a pooled-asset honeypot.
Squid was incubated by Axelar but reaches Solana and Bitcoin through Chainflip, not Axelar GMP — so its Solana routes are secured by Chainflip, not Axelar.
The bridge's own token where one exists: W, DBR, ABR, ACX, FLIP, and AXL (which powers Squid). Mayan and Jumper/LI.FI had no live token at research time.
Recommendations
Fastest & cheapest
Intent bridges deliver native assets in seconds for a tiny fee. deBridge (~0.04% + gas) and Across (~1–2s, <0.1%) are the fastest-class routes to and from Solana.
Don't want to pick
Aggregators compare 20+ bridges and surface the cheapest route automatically — no protocol fee of their own. Squid also reaches Bitcoin and Solana via Chainflip.
Broadest reach
The most-integrated Solana bridge — if a chain or asset is supported anywhere, Wormhole/Portal usually covers it (lock-and-mint wrapped assets).
Native SOL / BTC swaps
A fully native cross-chain DEX — no wrapping. Best for swapping native BTC or ETH straight into native SOL.
